Default Do you use the tailgate step?

For those of you that have the tailgate step, do you find yourself using it? I know it is an inexpensive option that I will certainly get but I am just curious as to how many people use them and/or find them useful.

At first I thought this idea to be far superior to the GM rear bumper design. I have to admit that after testing out the GM twins, that bumper step is pretty damn easy to use. Maybe not as good overall as the Ford but for quick access it seems like the simple design might be better.

Yep. And it also makes for a handy shelf!

Yes. Easy to use, out of the way when you don't, saved my jeans' crotch many times, and just plain easier to load mildly heavy stuff without putting it down on the tailgate, climbing up, pick it up again to put it further back in the box. Just step / step, done.

My f250 came with it, first I thought I would never use it as I'm younger, but I love it. I like the new design the 15s have as well.

Very useful option.

I have a Chevrolet with the corner steps and a Ford Superduty with the tailgate step. I much more prefer the corner steps. With the Ford step I only use it if I'm going to be in and out of the bed several time. If I'm only going in the bed one or twice I'll just climb over the tailgate the old fashion way. It's a nice feature but sometime it's just more trouble than it's worth.

Never saw how it looked on the 15's. But it just always looked like an eye sore to me.

They eliminated 100% of anything being visible for the '15. The way it should be imo.

All the time. Damn handy, especially after lifting. Kids love it too ...

I use it all the time. Im in and out of the bed often. Ive even used the arm part as a retention for 4x8 sheets of 3/4 plywood. Obviously I took it easy but I knew they werent going anywhere. For those who lift there trucks (more leveling and rear blocks) the step is way better than a bumper cutout ( would be way to high )
