Do mud flaps really work?
Installed Husky mud flaps after a year of kicking off mud stuck to the running boards. Now I have zero problems with that and not nearly as much splatter on the sides of the doors. Mud flaps are a great if you drive on dirt roads or in pastures.
No one has mentioned fender flares either. I drive gravel roads going to my hunting lease and the first time I traveled there I immediately knew I had to purchase both mud flaps and fender flares. BFG's throw rocks like crazy. My poor trailer looks like someone has been shooting it with a shotgun.

We did not install them on our 2010 Lariat the first winter. Big mistake. Added them the following spring and it reduced the spray about 70% and I never again had junk on the handles. Now for our 2016 & 2018, they went on before the first 500 miles... Had the Weathertechs on the 2016 and went with Ford version for the 2018. Both work great.
I got a 2018 XLT a few weeks ago and it only has rear Ford flaps. The sales person said they used to put flaps on all four tire wells, but enough people took the front ones off that they now only put them on the rear.
How do the WeatherTech flaps compare with the Ford flaps?
