Angry Dirty Wheels!

We all hate to roll around with brake dust and crap stuck to the wheels, right? Especially if you've got yourself some chromey-looking sets!

I found, by accident, that the inner hub of the stock wheels on my 17 F150 Lariat (502a) are just as chromey-looking as the spokes... so I went to cleaning them.

Holy hell. Has anyone mastered this? I even broke out an old toilet brush so I could get in behind the spokes... still not very effective.

Ideas?

Once you get them clean here's the best stuff I've found to keep and make them so easy to clean. Have 4 vehicles and use this product on all of them. It's not inexpensive but well worth it IMO......

@SCrewYou... Okay, thanks! I'll go for it. I assume you use this on your '16?

@cthusker... I've read this kind of stuff can leave a haze, or may even attract dirt... tips on use?

Wheels need to be clean and DRY!! Completely dry before applying then let it DRY for at least 30 mins. It does not create any haze and I can spray off brake dust with just a hose once it's applied. I do it once a month weather permitting...

No harsh chemicals are needed clean the wheels after it's been applied. I use it on some very expensive custom made wheels on my vette the past 2 years with excellent results... No way I would risk using anything that was detrimental.

Adams Polishes Wheel Cleaner and wheel woolie. The cleaner eats the brake dust and the woolie makes it a breeze to clean the barrel, around the caiipers, and even the back side of the spokes.

I put Nu Finish on all my wheels, they practically come clean with a rinse of the garden hose, the secret is to make them repel dirt and brake dust.

I experienced a ton of brake dust on my 2011, but none on my 2013 and my 2017.
