Default Dirty delivery?

My dad picked up his platinum today and it was extremely dirty inside. The dealership is now attempting to clean it up for him. I was curious if any of y'all received your trucks dirty? I understand dust, but dirt is fairly bad in my opinion.

I got to my truck before anybody from the dealership did and it was a mess from the transport guys getting in and out with all the bad weather. When I picked it up 3 hours later it was nice and clean, though I did find a few spots that they missed.

Why did he sign? Inspection is the first step.

This is probably what happened. The dealership should have cleaned it before he got there.

He didn't sign it yet. He refused to accept it until the mud/dirt was removed.
The dealer is removing it as I type this out and he is updating me through the process.
On a side note, He did have the rear armrest issue and the dealer stated they are going to fix that before he signs for it.
The dealer is also adjusting a misaligned front bumper.

Mine was really dirty inside from the factory and transport. The dealer was able to make it look new though.

You have to keep in mind that there are a few different people in and out of a new vehicle before it hits the lot. Chances are he got there before they had a chance to detail it. Now if they called and said "your new truck is ready" then I could see a problem.

Mine was spotless despite being delivered in February. My wife's Honda Pilot, on the other hand...WOW...dirty with damaged interior panels, steering housing, dash cluster, centre console, etc. So bad. I got 2 free full details and a set of Pilot custom floor mats for that....and an ear full from my wife (how was it my fault?).
