Default Difference in digital speed and speedometer gauge?

So I have a 2016 xlt....and I have noticed that there is always a difference in the speed displayed in the digital readout center screen cluster than what the speedometer gauge displays. This can be as high as a 3-4 MPH difference at times. Is this normal?

You have stock size tires? Mine is right on with my Garmin.

In my loaner XLT it drove me insane. It is not a problem at all in my actual Lariat truck though.

Mine is always about 2mph off. Somewhat annoying.

Mine's bang on, but I've had 1 inch larger tires on the truck since new.

Now I don't know if I can trust either speed.

OP .. I had same problem with my XLT with stock tires. Took it to the dealer and they said it was "in spec". Ended up getting a gauge cluster swap due to another issue and at the same time loaded a tuner on the truck. I'm not sure which it was, but one of those 2 things cleared it up. I should note with the tuner, i did not select the tire size, i only selected "stock tires".

When your truck is off, is the needle not on zero? As in the below picture:

If so, there is a thread on here where some have been able to open the cluster and lift off the needle and re-position at zero. I had the same issue and it was corrected that way. Someone else did it for me.

My digital and analog speedometers are bang on also. I checked the speedometer accuracy with a GBS, and it is bang on also. If I increased my speed by 1MPH, the GPS increased by 1MPH. If I decreased my speed by 1MPH, the GPS decreased by 1MPH.
