Default Delivered, Turned down.

Well my stock ordered '15 Ruby Red Platinum is at the dealer and I turned it down. With Ford's horrible leasing plans right now I just refused to pay over $600 for it even with $3000 down. But... my retail order is due in on Feb 8th, hopefully by then Ford makes leasing better.

I'll still go drool over it on Sunday though!

Are you saying you ordered a truck and now are not buying because dealer is trying to get $600.00 over MSRP?

I dont think you'll see better leasing deals until Ford has an issue moving these trucks off the lots...which right now, isnt an issue!

No, he is saying that he is not willing to buy the truck with a lease payment of $600+ per month (even after putting $3000 down at signing).

I talked to a sales manager at a different dealer today. And his Ford Rep told him that Ford would start pushing leasing on them closer to Presidents weekend. So I'll just wait. Normal money factor is often 2.0 to 2.5% on a 150. But this 3.5% just sends payment to a ridiculous level. All good comes to those who wait.

Same thing happened when I went to work a deal for lease as well. The 2 dealers I talked to really didn't seem interested in it. I'm sure once the new dies down they will be back to cutting each others throats to sell these. Didn't help my trade in either that they had over 100 2014 f150 still in stock.
On a side note decided to keep my 2014 with 9k miles and 402 package and add a lift and the new bfg ko2 and the remote access kit.
Will wait till the new Trans and what they do with the mft and buy then.

Shelby,

Totally agree with your rationale on not taking it. I was worried when I read the thread title that there was something wrong with the truck. Glad that wasn't the case.

Wow, that Money Factor (3.5%) is MUCH higher than what I got through Ford Credit on my 2-year/12,000 mile lease.

On your '15 King Ranch? Or a different vehicle.. Cause this was through Ford Credit.
