Deep Exhaust
I've looked at just about every exhaust system sound clip for the 5.0 F150 there is on the internet and still can't really find what I'm looking for in an exhaust system. I really want a deeper throatier rumble. Not the raspy sound. Not looking for something that will wake the neighbors every time I start it. I was interested in the Roush exhaust but just about all reviews say the drone is unbearable as a daily driver. I'm really leaning towards the Magnaflow street series. So my questions for those of you with aftermarket exhaust, are these
1. Will a single exit vs dual exit make it sound deeper or not?
2. Did you leave your resonator intact?

Motors are different now but I preferred the Magnaflow on my 5.4 3v.
It was mellow at idle and kicked in with heavy throttle. It did have a slight amound of drone but it wasn't bad to be honest. After years with it, it was bad because I was tiring of the noise. Drone was more noticeable only when riding in somebody else vehicle that was still quiet in the cabin. Taking a long drive and realizing that you've been talking more loudly for a few hours.
I think Corsa (or is it Borla?) is the new winner for the Ford V8 though and my thoughts of the Magnaflow are more of the old-school thinking.
You'll have more answers by end of day than you'll know what to do with. This question comes up every few weeks and they are all happy to share their experiences.

The exit pipe size also plays a part in the tone of it. I've ran 5-6" tips in the past to mellow out the tone and give it a unique sound. Would look into Volant if considering Corsa as they have merged.

Have not listened to a single sound clip and know that BORLA is the right choice for you. I've used Borla catback exhaust on 4 cycles and V8's and always get that deep sound. V8's always sound the best, of course.
