Default Deal fell through

Well was planning on pulling the trigger on a new F150 and once I got there to sign the paperwork let's just say the dealership wanted to "adjust" their final numbers. It made me mad enough I told them to just forget it. I've had a day or two to step back and rethink the whole purchase. As my original post I've always owned toyotas but do not care to consider the tundra. I did go to the local GMC dealership today and test drove a slt Sierra. I gotta admit I came away impressed. Did any of y'all consider this truck prior to purchasing your f150? I'll admit it didn't have the room in the backseat that the f150 has but I believe overall the truck seemed to ride smoother. Anybody compare both brands before purchasing? What swayed you to the ford?

I’ve got a 2017Sierra, it’s an SLT. THE RIDE IS GREAT, I had 14Platinum before and truth be told I miss the Platinum. The main thing is towing, I feel like the GMC is real jerky, when it comes to changing gears. Plus, the ecoboost is fun to drive, my amd it seems sluggish to me, I am considering trading it in on 2017if I can find a deal.

i looked at an slt sierra as well as a limited tundra before buying my lariat f150. i never even drove either one, the lack of technology and features (no push button start, no twin panel moonroof) for virtiually the same price as my ford left me unimpressed with both. the lower crash test scores for both the gm and tundra also helped make my decision a little easier.

As much as the Chevy and Tundra may be tempting, they do not offer what Ford does at the same price points. As mentioned above, the crash test scores alone can sway you.

Worse towing ability, less technology and worse crash ratings. Ill stick with the F150

Other than the above reason did you look at the outside? :-)
I really cannot stand anything about the GM products. I would look at the Tundra before one of them.

While it may have changed in the last 6 months, here are the things that made me pick Ford over Chevy/GMC:

-No a/c vents for rear passengers. I have kids to keep comfy.
-No push button start on any trim.
-Less rear seat legroom for passengers....you know, for those kids I mentioned earlier.

I did like the exterior styling, ride quality, and 6.2 motor.
