Default De-badging question

looking to debadge and also get some painted, but the question i had was the ecoboost to me jsut seems to throw off the look of the truck on the side if i take those 2 emlbems off are there any holes or decolorization under neath? Also the f150 on the tailgate not the oval but the actual F150 to the left of the oval if i were to take that off are there any holes underneath that one as well or just adhesive?

You can remove all the ones you listed...no holes.

Correct. I debadged/destickered and painted the badges on my truck a few months ago. The only badges with holes are the ones on the front quarter panels.

I would suggest using a heat gun or a blow dryer if you don't have a heat gun, some floss and some adhesive remover (I used "goo off").

I just removed my EcoBoost badges today. No discoloration at all underneath (this is on a 1 year old truck). I used fishing line and Goof Off.

I took off all the removeable emblems...EB, tailgate F150, dealer emblem, FX4 stickers. I used a claw hammer, it worked very well. I placed a wooden ruler next to the emblem (to prevent scratching or denting), put the hammer's head on it, placed the claws under the emblem and pulled.

I used my fingers to roll the remaining adhesive off the paint and car wax to eliminate the remaining sticky stuff.

Glad it worked out for you, but sure isn't a method I'd use or recommend.

Yeah, it's hard to describe....but I just carefully rolled the hammer and it lifted the badges. It sounds dangerous, because....well....it's a hammer. But, if you saw how I did it, you'd be less concerned.

Whatever works for you.
