Dash Cam Suggestions?
I got a Garmin Dash Cam Mini. I didn't want some giant thing hanging off the windshield. The Garmin is completely out of sight behind the rear view mirror.
I used a Dongar mirror power adapter to get power for the camera. It works great and made it a simple plug and play solution.

I have a 64 GB Sandisk High Endurance in mine and it's been going strong for 2-1/2 years (moved the camera from the last truck). Mine's the original Mini - thought about buying a Mini 2 and giving my fiancee the original Mini for her CX-5.
I had a SanDisk Ultra that failed, most likely because it’s not meant for constant read/write of the dash cam. My own fault for not researching this prior to purchase. Replaced it with a Samsung PRO Endurance. So far so good.

I have the same one in my truck, my lady's car, and bought one for my parents in their car.
They used to send you the hardwire kit for free when you emailed them and asked. It was not an option on the last kit but I already had two and only needed one. The 12v ACC (cig) lighter has full-time power and I keep it plugged in on my '04 F150.
The '20 F150 is piggybacked on the tailgate fuse (#16). I love it and it does a great job of recording front/back, GPS, Speed, Time, and most relevant info. Hard to read plates unless you get close and have a few seconds.

I got a Viofo A129 Pro 4K about 3 years ago and it's worked well. Very easy to run the power cable to the fuse panel so it's hidden, and powers both active and parking modes. A rear camera is availble but I don't have it. The only issue I've had with it, is overheating on a few extremely hot sunny summer days (100+ degrees). It's known to be picky about memory cards but I think that's common to video devices, and problems are easily avoided by following the manufacturer's recommendation, and ensuring your card is from a reputable source and not a counterfeit. You can watch videos and live feed on a phone or tablet via built-in WiFi and the Viofo app. It also allows taking snapshots, and locking important videos (either automatically or manually).
On my previous truck I had a Garmin navigator with a built-in dash cam on the back, and never had problems with it.

The bozo who started the thread couldn’t’ spell (me) so this didn’t appear in your search. Lots of good info here.
