Default dash cam position on windshield

Just purchased a Thinkware F200 Pro dash cam
I am having it installed by best buy and had an a instillation walk thru with the installer yesterday (actual installation will be next weekend).
Anyhow, the installer was talking about where he would install the front camera and to me it seemed rather low. I would prefer it to be hidden behind the mirror as much as possible.
So do any of my fellow members have this thinkware camera ( or similar) fitted that would share a pic of where it is placed/

thanks

My blackview is similar shape and since I don't have the rearview camera it's behind the mirror.

I only wanted power to it when the truck was on, so I used the +/- 12V at the rear sliding window switch in the overhead council

Is the lense centered on the dash cam? Is it bulky? The rearview mirror sits angled toward the driver which allows more room behind the passenger side for the cam to be installed (if it fits.) Mine is more on the passenger side and turned slightly to be pointing center.

Tucked mine behind the rear view mirror as well.
You can't see it while in the the natural sitting position in the drivers seat.

Same camera, same location. But....I get a lot of sun glare/reflection on the video image. The small storage bin and speaker grill on the top of the dash shows up in the videos due to reflection and interferes with the actual road view image. Have others noticed this as well?

Yep but I have the camera just incase there is ever an accident and it's a "he said" "she said" type of crash.

Actually I take back what I said I was on my phone and couldn't see the picture too well. I put the camera lens below the black/grill area. My pictures are perfect. Here is an example movie.
