Has anyone made a custom splash screen for a sync2? If so, can you post a short video and how you did it? I would like to change the from the Ford logo and only sync3 can be changed via FORscan.

 

How do you get the sync 3? I called the Ford website chat people and they said it's no longer available for dl on the website. Can we upgrade ours ? I have the sync 2 15 ford 150

 

By "splash screen" do you mean the background on your Sync 2? If so, that is super easy...

 

I am upgrading to Sync 3 next week from MFT. There are a couple of members here that can hook you up to do it. Send a PM to TexasFording, that's who I am purchasing it from.

Edit: after reading your post again. To go to Sync 3 from 2 it requires a hardware upgrade, it's a totally different system.

 

By splash screen I mean the start up screen. The Ford logo. Change that short video. The background I have changed.

 

there is a thread full of Sync 2 background screen images -- not sure that is what you are after....

 

I tried it and loaded some other splash screen but could never figure out how to get them to enable. Gave up on it.

 

I don't think it's possible with Sync 2, but I've never tried. On Sync 3 using FORScan you can change it to the option of Ford, Lincoln, or Configurable splash screen. Not sure how the configurable option is done but I'm going to find out since I am upgrading to Sync 3 next week.

 

Did anyone ever figure out how to change the sync 2 splash screen? I was able to change productivity screen with forscan and know that you can change sync 3's splash screen but I want to do it for sync 2
