Yea, install went fine, Android Auto works great, but I'm trying to find out hub part number, and how to get the hub out so my wife can use Carplay.

I upgraded and use Android Auto. It requires the phone to be attached with a usb cable. I thought Android Auto would work over bluetooth with Sync 3. Perhaps I was wrong. If not, why will it not work giving me an error saying usb hub not supported?

The part numbers I got were:
GJ7Z-19A387-B (Lincoln)
HC3Z-19A387-B (Ford)

They are supposedly identical except the Ford USB is blue instead of white, but its severely back ordered. The Lincoln one is available now at Walt Sweeny Parts.

Guys said he would except return if it did not work.

Looks like it would go in the armrest console NOT the front console under the screen.

Question: My new USB module will show up on Friday. Could I still install the 2.2 update today without hurting anything on my radio? I know CarPlay won't work until my new USB module is installed but I'd rather do the software update now while I have the spare time.

Cool, but do you know if we can just pop out the center armrest usb with a trim tool, or will we break a clip?

That I do not know yet. Looks like on other vehicles a trim tool does the trick.
