Note the prefix JR3T isnt used on F150s. Its kind of funny to see it officially populate there. Ford could easily flag that and void your warranty on the APIM if they cared.

(Yes I know my punctuation is all wrong but iOS 11 broke the garage talk app for use with these forums).

Default No 2.3 for me :(

Running 2.2 and no update lists for me. Another oddity, I checked last night around 7pm; Sync screen shows the correct check date of 11/6, yet the owner site says checked on 11/7.

Thats not strange at all. It just means Fords server isnt in the same time zone as your truck.

I installed v. 2.3 on my 2017 Platinum this morning. I noticed no specific new features were indicated in the release notes and I don't see anything new in the system after updating. It does seem a little faster, though.

I’m in central time. So five +hours seems odd to me.

EDIT: NVM: Ford owner and Sync update uses Microsoft Azure Content Delivery Network and replicated "regions" for their cloud envs. so AA is likely correct.

However, I'm more interested in why 2.3 is not available for my 2016 302a truck. Maybe because I don't have factory Nav?

Version 2.3 isn't available for my truck (also non-nav) yet either. I'm running version 3.0.17276 so 2.3 would be a step back anyway. I haven't connected the truck to wifi to check for an update since I installed 3.0, so my vehicle profile on the owner's site still says version 2.2. I think I'll leave it like that for a while.

However, it would be interesting to see if the vehicle profile would recognize a roll-back. Let's say I connected to wifi and checked for an update to let the vehicle profile update to 3.0 in Ford's database. If I then rolled back to 2.2, and checked for updates again, would the database reflect this roll-back?

1.0 > 2.2 > 3.0 > 2.2

Any thoughts on that?

I wonder the exact same thing.

My dad has a 2017 with Nav, v2.0 (factory) Shows no updates for his either - and his has been left alone.

I wonder if Ford is doing this in "waves" like some other software vendors.

So much hyperbole on this forum about Ford canceling/denying warwanty. Personally I don't lose sleep over it.

I think I have figured out why Ford is pushing ver. 2.3. It's required to enable use of mobile device navigation via Sync 3 AppLink. Ford has been working with Sygic on this. Read this from Ford Authority (including the comments - user "Vinayak" reports ver. 2.3 is required.
