ok guys i have been reading and reading. i have 302a 2016 f150 non nav with 2.0 i cant get it to update over wifi. can i go straight to 3.0? or do i need to download 2.2 first? i have already replaced the usb so it will work with my iphone. just cant get it to update. and Owner.ford.com keeps telling me that my 2.0 is the most resent update. any help would be greatly appreciated. i just want apple car play.

 

2.0 is technically the most up to date for your truck per ford. They have not officially released 3.0 for the F150 and 2.2 was an update for people on 1.0 or 1.1. If you want to upgrade, you will need to find the files for your truck, download them and install them from a USB.

I have found sync update from 1.0 to 2.2. Where Can I find the update from 2.0-2.2?

 

You can use the same files to go from 2.0

 

Ok awesome. Last question. Do I need a pc or will a MAC work?

 

Either/or. Works fine from my Macs.

 

I updated to the latest Sync 3 version 3.0 yesterday with success. My truck is a March build 2016 non-nav that delivered with version 1.0. I upgraded to 2.2 using the same USB thumb drive method sometime last year. So far so good. Android Auto feels more responsive. Haven't messed around with it much yet. I'll report back if I have issues.
