Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
Thanks....sure would be nice if the original poster could edit 1st post to include links....i was bombing through this long thread but only found dead links...
This is more of a question for Android users.
I have been a long time iphone user and just picked up my first Android phone and ust getting used to using the Android platform and I have a question.
Playing a music selection on the iPhone within Car Play or Sync3 I can fast forward while listening to a selection by pressing and holding the forward button. That is my intended result.
Trying the same thing with the Android in Android Auto or Sync3 moves me to the next selection in the playlist. It doesn't matter if I quickly press the forward button or if I press and hold the button.
Is this a normal result or am I missing something that is different in the Android platform?
EDIT:
Another difference I noticed is when exiting Car Play I still have access to my iPhone via Sync3. When exiting Android Auto the Android phone is greyed out and the only way to gain access to it is disable Android Auto.

I'm not sure it would even update, but it's worth a shot. Delete your old files and usb and start over from scratch after downloading from my link.
Just an FYI for everyone. It has been discovered that this new version is missing part of the keyboard. If you need $ for a wpa key or something, it isn't there, the second screen is missing. OOPS.
