I've been using 2.2 for two days now and it seems stable and normal. Haven't found anything I would call a "bug". Definitely nothing I would call a "massive" bug.
That's not to say one can't show up eventually, but for now: seems good.
Since Ford already has it "out in the wild" in Lincolns, it's probably developed and stable. If I had paid the premium for a Lincoln and it had buggy entertainment systems in it I'd be livid. Lincoln also falls into the "Halo" vehicle category for Ford (like cadillac, lexus, acura, etc). Having it **** off the owner's would not be a good thing, marketing wise.
I would say it's probably more economic than software problems.
No sense sending out ver 2.2 until they have enough hardware in the supply system to satisfy customer demand and charge for the hardware installation.
At this point, it's all just speculation anyways.....

(Con't due to limited to 10 pics per post)
White USB:
First pic is the way it will look if you drive around with the door open. If the door is latched, the compartment light is on.
The second pic I'm holding the door open but not latched. This is what it would look like if you disabled the compartment light and drove around with the door open.
I didn't bother with daytime pics because the USB lights are so faint, you can't tell if they are on or off in the daylight.

upgraded and plugged in my white usb hub, works perfectly. Used a transcend 128gb usb3 flash drive to load both files.
My parts guy said that the white hubs were out of stock at ford but he got them from a supplier in virginia.

minor weirdness in the 2.2 w/Nav update. I grabbed two different NAV downloads and one of them has a fifth file inside the SyncMyRide folder: GB5T-14G386-AA.tar.gz
What's up with that? The other four are the same:
HN1T-14G381-LG.tar.gz HN1T-14G423-CA.tar.gz
HB5T-14G386-TCB.tar.gz HN1T-14G391-CC.tar.gz

Well, I am glad that I canceled my backorder for my blue hub and changed it to a white hub. The order was filled the next day and I received it today. Now I see both hubs are on backorder. Now all I have to do is download the update and take advantage of the long weekend and get it all installed.

Going by memory, but its under the settings screen, then ambient lighting. I don't remember the button there before ver 2.2, but i also wasn't looking either. This is only day 3 with the truck.
3 shades of blue, orange, red, purple, green, etc.
Just the lighting in the center console, door panels, etc. Dash lights didn't change.
Kinda neat, but I'll probably never use it. I like the stock blue.

Hmm interesting. I can't seem to find that setting on my sync 3 ver1.1
