There are no different versions of the 5.0L in any of the trucks, from the base XL all the way up the chain to the Limited.

If you have a 5.0L V8, you have a Coyote.
It wasn't just a name Ford gave it and it stuck it really was named the Coyote. Ford names all of their engines. The 2.7 EB (and the 3.0 in other products) is the Nano, the 3.5 and 3.3 NA and EB are Cyclone. In the SD trucks the 6.2 is the Boss, 7.3 is Godzilla and the 6.7 PSD is the Scorpion. I think it's a much cooler system than the usual number and letter combination that most manufacturers use. The Mustang's supercharged V8 is the Predator, the Camaro's is the LT4; see what I mean.
