Default Could use some LED fog and reverse light advise.

I’m on forum/google/youtube search overload if you guys are willing to spoon feed me. I’m at the point where I could really use some additional lighting - aging eyesight!

Would like to add a set of the plug-in $60 fog light replacements that are all over Amazon and either some (much) brighter LED reverse bulbs or even some auxiliary reversing lights under the bumper. Don’t want to spend much, don’t want to buy useless junk or have to mess with lighting problems caused by adding the wrong stuff.

Are the ones on Amazon worth my money or do I need to go with the Morimoto or similar brands to fill the need?
Also, which are the right LED reverse bulbs to go with or maybe skip them and add the auxiliary reverse lights?
Lastly, do better than stock low beam bulbs exist and don’t cause more issues than gains?

Most members will not glance at your profile to see what your driving and who knows if your profile info is up to date , mine is not . Haven't figured out how to update . So you should include year and model and hopefully someone with more knowledge about these things can help you out .

I changed my fog/low/high to Sealight LED plug and play last march and am very happy.

These fog lights are ridiculously cheap and work great in my opinion. I would purchase them again.

Leck, Its a’20 XLT 302a without factory LEDs.

Bubba,
Thanks. Did you use the ones linked in all of your lights or just the fogs? Do they cause any low amp draw issues or any dash lights?

Yes I changed all 3 to Sealight LED bulbs. No adapters needed and no flickering or dash errors and I have the same truck as you.

Originally I was going to adjust the headlights down but decided to wait to see if I got flashed by oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed in over 7 months and I drive 2 hours a day 5 days a week often in the dark.

Crap I posted the wrong fog lights. The ones in my previous post will work but this is what I have. Sorry for the confusion.

I have some of the LED auxiliary lights from Amazon. I think that I paid $15 for a pair. They are the rectangular size, about 6 x 1 inches. I have had them for several years without any issues.

eta
these are used for reverse lights.

whatever you get for LED, I suggest you get a clockable model with the smallest and fewest LED's possible. These best mimic a halogen bulb, and the clockable feature allows you to turn them to get the best light pattern possible. The fogs are prone to glare, which is not cool for oncoming traffic. I have the supernova s-v.4's from headlight revolution in mine.

Bubba,
Thank you again for the info and links.

Anyone have input on the replacement LED foglight units that look like the Morimoto fog lights?

I just installed switchbacks for my fogs yesterday. I haven't used them at night, but I like having both 6K white and 3K yellow.
