It can be comical but I would never own a RAM/Dodge or GM truck. I have owned Toyota trucks and my 1983 motor is quieter then my 2018 5.0 Lol. When a TSB and/or recall happens it is a widely accepted problem per Ford!! Not positive but would bet money that my 2018 F150 5.0 with 10 speed has more TSBs/Recalls than my 2016 F150 5.0. So year 2 is better quality than year 4 in a 6 year build cycle. That is Ford quality control and total quality management. That is a pretty well documented set of processes for manufacturing quality products. Many companies followed Toyota and Honda standards/processes, at least that is where Boeing went (Toyota) to overhaul and create a TQM driven Co.

Be happy you don’t have issues but please don’t pretend the rest of us are rare and a smoke screen. If it is a TSB, than a modified TSB, and finally becomes a recall; that means Ford got it wrong how many times? This isn’t an exception it has happened on a lot of fixes. None of this seems to be acknowledge as a problem, nor does it appear as though Ford is working on solution or even cares. Personally I think it will be the death of Ford the quality of the current F150. I hope they prove me wrong!

LOL what... You're really going to cite Boeing as a company to emulate?

For quality sure you want to ride in a Ford airplane? Pretty funny. The change to TQM was dramatic change you might want to do a little research. The fact is the same Exec who did that turnaround is why we have an aluminum Body F150. Pretty sure in airplane business even with their latest issue they are the benchmark of quality.

never worked for Boeing but they were my largest Customer from 1990-1999. Perhaps you have some facts as why Boeing quality shouldn’t be used? Imagine a car that had the reliability of Boeing airplanes. Yes Ford’s quality is definitely an issue.

2016 - 5.0 = DI / How many years old is this engine?

2018 - 5.0 = DI + PI / How many years old is this engine?

Asking honestly as I don't remember which year they made the change. '17 or '18?

LOL.... any fan boys? This generation F150 began 2015? On this F150 year 4 is worse than year 1, can you follow? Somehow Ford gave no choice on 5.0 DI motor or 10 speed transmission. I believe F150 10 speed 2017 and obviously the 5.0 2018. No matter what is stated buyer beware Ford quality is bad and trust the boards. Lots of data on Ford quality going downhill is available. Perhaps use recalls and TSBs as a gauge?

Spending a lifetime in high tech made me well aware that often the best selling products are not the best product. I vote with dollars and will go back to proven success Honda cars and Toyota SUVs/trucks. Enjoy the boards and fan club noise it is always 5-10 guys who know Ford makes a great product and they are in the minority!!

Enjoy trucks that suck gas and are 10 years behind everything else in terms of technology.

The moonroof is about a $1,500 option. Think of all the neat things you could buy for your truck for $1,500.

I don't like sun/moon roofs. Don't use them, take away head room and they are like skylights in homes.
Sooner or later they are going to leak.

My 16 5.0 isn't direct injection.
