And mine arrived a week early and threw my game off. I wasn't ready when it arrived and had to scramble. LOL It didn't even show in transit and it was sitting on the dealers lot.

You guys in the USA are lucky you have a site to go to...no such site in Canada. I tried my VIN in that site and it says not a valid US VIN.

Your dealer has access to all the same information (and more). If they’re not giving you that info you need to have a chat with them or find a new dealer next time. There is no excuse for dealers not providing this information to their customers.

My dealer said he should get a VIN within 3 weeks. I texted my sales guy after 1 week just to check in because sometimes VINs are assigned after a few days, and he told me he has the VIN (and gave it to me). If I text him and ask, he will give me the info, it's just I think I have to be the one keeping up on it to know what's happening. It would be nice if I could check on my own and not have to be contacting the sales guy all the time, that's all. Once I get my estimated delivery date, I'll at least be able to try to time the selling of my old truck.

Doesn't work for Canadian VINs. It says "We're sorry. We are unable to process that VIN because it is not a valid USA Ford VIN. Please enter a valid VIN."

Oh I get the whole self-service thing. I just get irritated at lazy dealers who don’t bother to provide simple updates to their customers and especially when they pretend they can’t get the information. Or they’re just too dumb to find it.
