And Cotus says my truck is still awaiting shipment, even though all the time my 5/3 ETA never changed. I also said that I feel for those who have been in limbo longer than me.

So why did I write this thread? To forewarn those new to Cotus no to rely on it. That is why I titled the thread, "Cotus = Bogus."

And I was not the one who stated that Ford is purposely withholding orders to stimulate sales on '14s. Reread the entire thread and get your crap straight before your start throwing stones at me! Good grief!!!!!!!

1. Like I said, if you did a bit of snooping on this very forum, you would have known already that COTUS is to NOT be trusted. I believe it's stapled all over the first thread on the first page of the 2015 forum. Heck, I even think there's a BETA warning on COTUS itself.

2. I'm sorry but it comes off that you're complaining and maybe you're not meaning/wanting to. You're stating that you don't know exactly where your truck is when you think you should know exactly where your truck is and that Ford is getting your hopes up over nothing.

You're the one mismanaging your own expectations over a website that is in testing. Ford never promised that you'd get your truck on May 2. They didn't put it in writing on a contract. They gave you an ESTIMATED date based upon current production rates on when your truck could be done. That doesn't take into account assembly line failures, delays, etc. Machines break down and need maintenance all the time!

People rely far too much on technology.

3. Yes, I know you weren't the one that said it wasn't a conspiracy. Just thought it was a very funny comment that someone said earlier.

Like I said...everyone here knows your pain. We have some members that waited 6-7 months for their truck. Enjoy the wait. Waiting and anticipating was more fun than driving the truck after the first week.

You'll get your truck. Promise!!!!

Point is just don't use COTUS. It is nothing but a PIMA and causes headaches and expectations that will not be met 50% of the time.

I think everyone here uses the wwwq address for COTUS.

I haven't heard of any working besides that?

All I have to say is lets not all beat up on COTUS so that FORD shuts it down. We all understand that it isn't the most accurate means to know about your truck delivery.

I am OK with it being screwed up some and trust me my truck has been 0 days for a while and goes back and forth with an ETA or not.

Point blank the tool of COTUS is for REFERENCE ONLY!

That is correct. And that is what the Customer Ford rep gave me on the phone. The exact address is: www.cotus.ford.com

Anyway, this shows my truck still awaiting delivery, but my dealer tells me that my truck has been in transit over three weeks. Today, from his visibility report (yes, he got back to me), all he has is an expired ETA. No updated one.

www.cotus.ford.com works. COTUS is 100% accurate until the truck is awaiting shipment. The minute the truck passes QC and heads out to the ramps, it is turned over to a shipper, most times the same day. The shippers info is not fed directly back to COTUS like the production information is. Once the truck is picked up by the shipper (not physically, just on paper) the transient information can get sketchy. Ford wants greater visibility, but many of the small carriers can't afford the tracking software of the Jack Coopers. The time spent waiting for your truck to hit production is frustrating also. It can slip due to constraints caused my mother nature, a bad batch of parts, subs not delivering, all kinds of factors. When you enter production, the day the order is sent from scheduling to the plant, COTUS is 100% accurate. Outside of the plant where Ford has to worry about suppliers or carriers, COTUS can be very unreliable. That is why as you said before, it is an estimate.
