Very sad that a car company whose major product launch is so critical, lets a poor redesign, not properly QCd, get sent out to the masses...then say, incredulously, that it performs as designed, while at the same time acknowledging that it is, in fact, not cooling.
Please let me know if I can record your feedback about this experience. I just need your VIN or case number via PM to get started.

Have a nice weekend.

I think you can add all VIN numbers to this one. Just jump in one out on your lot. Pick any one.

Yes and it was my regional customer service manager. No need to look into it Chad. We are all getting the same answer and as was suggested. Just get in any 2015 F150 with cooled seats and in about 15 mins. you will understand what we are all talking about.

We need to hear more from the 28 that say their seats are working ok. What is the difference between them and mine. I wonder if maybe they didn't leave them running long enough for them to switch from cooling to heating. As on mine it takes a while for the seat backs cooling effect to be over powered by all the heat that the seat bottom is putting out as its doing its job.

Who knows maybe they are Ford ringers. Inserted to prove the many wrong.

As I originally posted in #397 ..... below is repeated a link to Dave's fix and pictures as originally posted on a different forum......

I still suggest this go sticky and that the two identical threads on this Forum (Cooling Seats - Are Your Seat Backs Working Properly? and Seat Cooling) be merged into one.....!! We have 32K views on this defective design and we should elevate it to conscious level on this forum.....PLEASE

Someone on another forum just "engineered" a solution.....take a look especially at post #59....smile.....

FORD ENGINEERING TAKE A LOOK....I think this effort on Dave's part basically validates that a/the root cause of the 2015 design working poorly is the issue of the seat back cooler/TED not being exhausted correctly.....maybe amongst other problems....but this would probably make the 2015s work more as advertised......COOLING SEAT BACKS......smile....

Well I must throw my hat in this ring. Have owned my'15 King Ranch since Mar 31st. First few times I used the cooled seats they worked great but it wasn't hot in South Texas yet. Now they are just ridiculous!! I had to drive 30 miles across town last night and it was 95 out. After 5 mins of driving the bottom cushion was nice and cool but the backrest was f*&^%$# HOT!! I mean uncomfortably hot!! I even had to turn the A/C down because the cabin was getting to cold...A/C works waaay better than the '13 KR I traded in. Really Ford???? I'm in the business and have been a Ford fan since my first new car. Have owned over 40 new Ford's in my life and this one is really starting to bother me. These seats are so poorly engineered that its amazing they made it into production. My '13 cooled seats worked perfectly, had to turn them DOWN after a few mins of driving. This truck listed for $ 64,100 and they can't get the cooled seats to work!! I haven't had most of the issues posted on here and mine was an early build (Jan) but have had couple of minor ones. Door alignments and popping when opening but both were fixed.
I really hope the Ford rep's that monitor this site have reported this issue to the Ford product committee and production people. When you live in a hot climate and pay this much for a vehicle you expect, and rightfully so, for a cooled seat to function as advertised. I had to turn mine off and 30 mins later the seat back STILL hadn't cooled down! I also had the TSB done on my rear seat armrest (another ridiculous oversight) and am waiting on the seat cover to come in. I'm amazed frankly that Ford is doing that one. I know from experience that the seat cover on a King Ranch is close to $1000 x 2 for each seating position!! Lord knows what it will cost them to re-engineer the seat coolers.
Ok...rant over and thank you for letting me vent. Ford rep's feel free to pm me for any more info.
