If they don't know how to unzip the seats, we've all got much bigger problems

This does seem to be the problem.

I think the problem is actually zipping them back shut! I have opened my seats dozen times or more with no issues. The trick is 16 ga stranded wire looped through the hole in the zipper. Pull down nice and slow and guess what the zipper closes!!

I did tell this trick to FORD Engineering and they were supposed to get it into the "new" TSB verbiage.

So the reason your dealers are trying to do one at a time is simple math guys and gals.

0.6 hours for one
0.8 hours for both at same time
0.6 + 0.6 = 1.2 hours if you do them both separate times..

You're right, the trick is to learning how to open up the seats safely. I used a thin flathead screwdriver, but the same principle holds. It's much easier and safer to open and close them with a little leverage.

I used tie straps for my zippers and never had an issue with them until the dealer broke one of the seats zippers.

Tim we all know Ford Eng did not leason to you very well or the seat TSB would have been designed alot better than it was.

Simple...They do not want owners working on their own vehicles. They make the majority of money through the service department.

Had mine done yesterday. No difference in seat back cooling. This morning felt like the heater was not working as well either. Looks like a double negative to me to get the tsb done.
