I got my revised TED in yesterday, brought my truck to work today and installed it. Cooling is working great on the back now. I had 2 on order but only one came in, waiting to see when I will get the other one. Happy to be able to use my seat coolers now.

Great to hear.....now there are 3 for 3 that fix the issue.....now supply of parts will frustrate many but at least we seemingly can put the major technical concerns behind us.
Did your findings match those that I posted as Preliminary Results from our pilot tests!?

I did feel the seat back and above the seatback pocket was warm, not hot, but warm. I dont see it being a cause for concern though.
Very pleased with this fix, The overall appearance and feel of the ducting was actually pretty impressive to me, they thought this one out a bit for sure. I like that the duct can never collapse or suck shut due to the cell structure inside.
I also would like to note, This obviously is going to cost Ford a little bit of money due to replacing the whole TED assembly with the duct made to it. So I would like to say to those who said Ford was going to come up with some cheap piece of crap solution. This is a great quality fix and they definitely went above and beyond by making it a whole new TED unit instead of sending out ducts to attach to the old one.
I guess it all comes down to the old saying of "everybody makes mistakes, its how you handle them that matters".

My findings are directly inline with your preliminary results. I had the cooler on for an hour and I had plenty of cool air on my back still, the whole perforated leather section was cool.

Thanks MDBoostWorks....both your results and comments mirror mine and, I am sure, Tim's. That IS a comfort....LOL
The Ford Seat Engineering team (that oversees seat design across ALL Ford platforms) deserves a heap of credit for stepping up to the plate on this one. Yes, it took too long to escalate the issue and get a two way conversation going with owners but engineering, testing and vetting a fix in the form of a TSB was done with quality first and cost second in mind. Of course F-150 led the way and this Forum was instrumental in many ways….we still want to make the communications better…but look where we were a month or two ago! We still see some parts availability issues possible, but real progress has been made.

Enjoy that writing pen Tim!!!
Who remembers the guy from a few months ago that said he made suggestions to Ford that saved them millions of $$$$ but would never tell what the suggestions or the systems affected were.

Assuming a supplier designed this, I would expect the supplier to be eating these costs, not Ford.

My new Lariat has a build date of August 2015 and I still have the cooled seat issue. I get cold *** air only on setting 3 and it's not felt in the back. On setting 2 or 1 I don't feel a thing even in a t-shirt.
Glad to hear their is a solution thats working.

The Marine Corps (and maybe even the federal government) used to have a program called "Benny Suggs" (beneficial suggestions). If a person made a suggestion to improve a piece of gear or equipment that ended up saving the government money, that person received a portion, albeit a small portion, of the savings.

Not that this was their goal, but was hoping Tim and AZPlat might reap some monetary recompense for all their time, efforts and expense.
