The intake and exhaust kit is for those who did NOT have the TSB done by Ford that added an intake sock. The exhaust only kit is for those who DID have the TSB or the revised production units with the intake sock. Problem was that the sock would collapse after a short period of time rendering Fords “fix” useless. Those of us who knew this opted not to have the TSB done and go with the full intake and exhaust kit. Those that had the sock had no choice but to just do the exhaust.

I had the TSB sock done and then did the first Mark I exhaust kit install and then replaced that with the improved exhaust and intake kit which I think was the Mark V which had the bigger heat shielding on the exhaust.
This is a long thread for a reason,, lots of improvements over the years.

it comes down to print time and what I have in stock more than anything. I can only print 6 intakes and once and I can print 36 exhausts at once. Most trucks now have the TSB sock installed so I take part of the kit is helpful be not as required as it was originally without the sock. If I had time to print intakes I would. Printer is running 24/7 on other parts right now and thought I would just clear out inventory.

Tim I know its been said many times in this thread. Now that you're moving on I just want to say one more time thanks for all you did with this and for helping us all out.

Hey Tim,
I also want to thank you for all your help and time that you put in making these kits, I for one truly appreciate it. BUT, before you go, I do have one question. I just installed the v5 kit on my driver side, and I have to ask, where did you get the corrugated tubing and how long is it supposed to be? I tried to fish the exhaust tube through the hole at the bottom of the drivers seat and it got really cut up from the metal frame at the bottom of the seat.

Are you guys actually able to stick it through the frame hole or just leaving the end of the tube and not sticking it through?

If I remember correctly we are putting a round plastic tube through a square metal hole. And it’s easier to heat the tube a little and form it into more of a square shape than make the metal square hole round. So the answer in my case is yes it’s through the hole and down far enough that the seat cover doesn’t block the end.

I keep trying that and the corrugated tubing keeps getting shredded to the point the tubing is actually becoming shorter because i have to keep cutting off the ripped pieces. Is there anything special you are doing to prevent that when trying stick it through?

Just the heating it and forming it into more of a square shape. I did this in the shop before trying to install it. And I think I used needle nose pliers to reach through the hole and pull the hose rather than trying to push it through. But mine was one of the first kits with the blue hose and I think he changed the hose in the later kits.

If I have 2015 F150 Lariat and haven't had anything done to my heated/cooled seats (but always wondered why the back got so hot when cooling) is there a recall that Ford will do? I'm at 90K miles so no warranty. And it looks like the SeatGuru is stopping production of the fix, so is there any other solutions? (Sorry if this has been addressed but I can only look through so many pages...554!! lol

Thanks in advance!
