Considering Clear Bra...
Just picked up my new 16 XLT 4x4 Supercrew. I keep seeing people here listing Clear Bra as one of their modifications. I've never heard of it. Looked it up this morning and watched a few YouTube videos. Is it as amazing as it looks? Do you just put it across hood and front fenders, or whole truck? Does it change the way the truck looks at all? Does it ever bubble up or peel? What is the average cost to have it done? It would be great to have a truck look brand new in 5 years. Just seems like one of those "too good to be true" things.
I've seen where people are doing this because something about the paint on the newer trucks is chipping easily when hit by debris.
One thing I would wonder is does it hold gunk in the seams. I had "door edge guards" on my door corners so they wouldn't chip if I hit them on a pole etc. and after awhile you could see the outline of them because they were collecting dust particles and it looked like crap on a white car.

Washing normally keeps the edges clean.
I STRONGLY suggest you do NOT do it yourself. Have it done professionally. The amount of coverage will make a difference in price. From $300 to about $1200 depending on the quality of the product as well.
If you just drive around the city you probably don't need it but highway driving, it will save the front end. (or anywhere else you install it)

I'm driving 2 hours one way to Plano TX next weekend for a 24 inch Xpel bra. This will be a first for me dealing with this product. It's a small investment compared to what we all paid for our trucks to protect the front end the best we can.
Was just in same situation as OP and yes get it done by a pro but still I got some small black marks trapped underneath, he'll have to do it over I guess. Bubbles can be fixed but the most important thing is that the surface is spotless before applied.
All you really need to cover is bumper ( sport not chrome one ) headlight surrounds and about a 4-5 inch strip on front of hood....cost should be about 450 - 550

To do it right you need to have the area that is getting covered CLEAN and work in a dust free (as dust free as possible). I had my entire front of my truck done. A great shop will not cut around emblem but remove them and any place they can wrap the edges they will. This way you see no edges of the film. I had the best shop in Utah Luxe Auto Spa do mine and it is perfect. I had Xpel ultimate film installed.

You can go with partial hood & fender to 100% coverage and not see any line. The main purpose is to protect against rock chips on the front end of the vehicle I wanted the full length along the side to avoid door dings. I wrapped both doors and the bed all the way to the tailgate to prevent parking lot door dings. It's my sideline hobby.
