Other than the KR brand in the leather, what are the main differences between the Lariat and King Ranch? On the build site, I can get a Lariat with all the goodies I want for about the base cost of a King Ranch.

that's about it but you get massaging seats with KR (can't get that on Lariat). King Ranch also has distinctive grill and wheels but you can spec out a Lariat just like a KR but no KR leather, no multi contour seats or two tone wheels/grill. I may be missing one more but not much. Monochrome king ranch can get tailgate appliqué.
Yup, you're exactly right. The only options you can't get in the Lariat versus the KR is the unique leather and multi contour seats. The wood grain is also different in the KR. Obviously trim and other body things will be different. But you can build 2 very similar trucks. As I mentioned in another thread, that's what I decided to do - build a loaded Lariat Lux with all the KR/Platinum features.

King Ranch: 5L or 3.5L EB, premium Mesa Brown leather, real wood trim, SuperCrew only, 5.5' bed or 6.5' bed, LED headlights standard, bucket seats with flow through center console and floor shift standard.
Lariat: available 2.7L EB (non luxury), fake wood trim, available SuperCab, available 8' bed, available heavy-duty payload (base model), bench seat with column shift standard - bucket seats/flow through console available, available Sport Pkg, LED headlights only with luxury pkg.
how can I spec out a Lariat with the 20" wheels from KR? The ford f150 build site only lets me select 18" wheels when I choose Lariat (which is strange because I can pick the 20" wheels if I choose XLT, just not Lariat?)

nevermind =/ it lets you get 20" wheels on Lariat if you choose the 3.5, just not if you go with the 2.7. WTF ford
either let me get a 2.7 in a KR, or let me get the 20" wheels on a Lariat with 2.7!

lol, would be kind of silly for a XL owner to be running around with a 'fake' King Ranch tailgate, but dumber things have happened.
the two-tone KR doesn't have that big ugly thing on the tailgate so maybe I could find someone with a two-tone King Ranch of the same color who would be willing to trade. but I think its silly I'd have to resort to that when it should be possible for me to delete that option and just have the factory put the normal tailgate in =/
I like the tailgate. If the applique was on my truck I would just keep it. But If I was buying a King Ranch I would pick the two-tone Luxury King Ranch without the chrome package.
