Collision warning windshield lights not working
Brought home a 2019 F-150 with all the bells and whistles (Platinum trim level) a few weeks ago, and I know for a fact that it's got forward collision warning / brake assist, because it's in the menu settings.
However, per this thread:
https://www.f150forum.com/f118/red-l...p-dash-304925/
The collision warning lights that flash on the windshield should come on every time I start the engine. I've never seen them do the test cycle, and earlier today, the system "worked" when some idiot cut me off to make a last minute exit from the highway. I saw out of the corner of my eyes my dashboard light up, but no lights ever flashed on the windshield.
Looking at the top of my dash, it's just an expanse of black plastic and leather. I don't see any lights. Could one of you who has this system take a photo of your dash showing the LED lights?
Thanks.

If anyone else is in the same boat as me, here's the thread that confirms what TexasRedfish and tvsjr said.
Oddly enough, I did look for this issue, but my search queries were far too generic (I didn't think Ford would have cut out that feature in 2019, so I didn't look up the 2019 changes).

Yeah, some may see cost cutting, but we had the flashing on our Flex and I found it to generally be more of a distraction in an event than helpful. It draws your eye to it instead of what is happening and that momentary eye draw could keep you from making an important move to prevent an accident (like deciding which direction to steer if you have to avoid something).
So maybe it was cost cutting, but it not being there was a big part of why I wanted the system again in my 2019. I love the feature, hated the light bar.
