Default collision assist?

I can’t remember exactly what it said but a warning flashed on the dash a couple of times on the freeway. Collision assist or something similar. Road was clear as can be. Scared me for a sec thinking the brakes were going to slam on. Happened twice in a row then never happened again. Anyone else see this?

I've had a couple of 'false alarms' from mine. But it's been rare. Looks like your truck is probably still under warranty. Maybe the dealer can diagnose?

Where are you in Ohio? Cheers from Cleveland.

Did you have ice or slush build up in front of the sensor? I doubt it would cause an issue but worth checking before heading to the dealer.

Mine has gone off if my closing speed to the car ahead of me is too quick and I get too close before I move over to either pass or change lanes.

No cars in front of me at all. No ice either that I was aware of.

I've had that experience 2-3 times when approaching a vehicle making a right turn. To the truck, it looks like it's stopped even though I can see it's moving and will be out of the way by the time I get to the intersection.

I have had a message pop up twice in the last month that the collision assist was not working because the sensor was blocked. It has never happened before. I couldn't find anything blocking it.

Very heavy rain or snow can block it, and also make adaptive cruise unavailable.

The lightest frost will block the sensor.
Sensor ON the windshield, behind the mirror. Supposedly has a heating wire near it, IF it does, it does not perform its function.
