Default Cold Start - Rough?

2016 5.0 -- Starts just fine but runs somewhat rough for the first few minutes and then smooths out. How many people have experienced this? Also, anyone's truck sound like a diesel at idle? Once it's warmed up, it's very smooth aside from the weird sounding idle from outside the truck. I had this in my other truck and it was CTA related (the truck was traded right after finding this out)....and I haven't seen too many people talk about phasers in the 5.0...leading me to believe I am horribly unlucky or the dealer was wrong the first time and this is something else. I have been having an extremely hard time just getting my dealership to look at anything on my truck and so I want to see if anyone else has had a similar issue first before I take it in and have to argue with them about whether or not it's "normal" or "working as designed." My fusion 3.0 is about to give up the ghost at 325K...due to bad phasers and a stretched timing chain....I'd just like to take care of the issue on my truck now before it's a problem down the road ... if, in fact, it's a problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

What do you mean by rough? Do you have any sound clip or video?

My 2017 does sound a little different upon start-up, which stops when the thermostat open (idle comes back to normal), but does not sound like a diesel at all.

I'll see if I can grab a sound clip from it tonight, it's hard to describe...but if you were to hear a diesel at idle (primarily the pulse length), my 5.0 sounds similar to that. I won't go as far as calling it a knock. It happens after it's warmed up as well.

The rough idle happens initially at start up while it's cold and goes away about a minute later...it seems to lope and it almost reminds me of what a vehicle with bad coils feels like at idle. When backing up...it almost feels like it's missing....and then it goes away. About a year ago I had an incident where a huge cloud of white smoke came out of the tail pipe after I started it (and this was not the typical condensation plume...this was thick and hazy white smoke)...it hasn't done it since. A block test with a fluid kit actually came back positive...until I read up on how DexCool can screw with that test. Nevertheless, it's been on my mind since and the dealer won't do anything unless I have a light...which I don't. It may be normal, the white smoke may have been a fluke...but if it's not normal, I may just need to force the issue with the dealership.

Here's a video of what mine sounds like when it's first started...although the rough-ness makes me think it's something more than just the exhaust weep hole:

And this is similar to what it sounds like when it's warmed up:

So here are a few videos from different angles that I took tonight...has anyone else had theirs sound like this? If so, what was the actual fix, if any?

This is taken from the wheel well closest to bank 1. What I didn't think was a knock, is actually a knock when listening closer.

And for whatever reason, the forum isn't letting me upload...but that link should bring it up in another page.

Here's another that includes the sound from the top end:

Top End Sound

It sounds too much like the 2011/2012 motors...only this is a 2016.

Bump. Anyone have any ideas or experienced this with their 2015+? I've seen people on the forum with similar issues but there never really seems to be an update with a resolution.
