Default Coin holder replacement

Anyone have ideas on getting rid of that dumb coin holder on the dash? I assume it just pops out and something else could go there instead. I’d actually prefer to have a pocket there for storage. Seriously, that is a massive waste of prime real estate. Thoughts?

I made this a piece of plastic cut to size and a safety switch, for some auxiliary backup lights

You could install a trailer brake controller? I think if you put a storage pocket there, stuff would probably fall onto the floor when you mashed hard on the go pedal.

You should label it "Ejection Seat".

I am surprised there aren’t any aftermarket drop-in replacements for this.

It really is a waste, nobody ever has cash these days, it's all Apple/Samsung pay, etc.

Exactly! I’d even prefer just a blank space. Then I could move my phone holder up there. Funny how everyone on the planet has a smart phone, but car manufacturers haven’t designed anything to hold it. You still have to go out and get some aftermarket contraption that connects to the air vents, or sticks inside the power outlet or suction cups to the windscreen. But thank God the engineers thought to equip these trucks with a massive coin holder right on the dash...

That coin thingy, isn't that where the 4X/LSD switch goes?

Even if you did use it, what could you buy with the small amount of coins it could hold. Nothing these days!

Yes, that is where the 4 times 4 switch is.
