Default Coilover Selection

Just picked up a 19 Crew FX4 and I’m looking to do a leveling Strut with 295/60r20 on stock sport wheels. I see most run 2.0 fox or bils. I’m leaning towards 2.5’s in Icon/Fox/King. 80% of my driving is highway with 20% being rough roads at my work so consider it low speed bumps and ruts.

Would I benefit with going with something like an accutune set up or simply an icon stage 1 would give me the low speed softness over bumps and high speed firm that I’m looking for. I don’t mind going with a remote reservoir or a selectable setting strut but if I’m not going to see the gains by use of the truck I could go with an IR set up.

anyone with a 2.0 or 2.5 set up please chime in.

My experience.

I got back a replacement and it's been fine since. Once I'm due for a rebuild I may buy a set of 2.5s and keep the 2.0 as backups.

Im mainly on pavement but the majority of my driving is old tar and chipped farm roads. I do take it off road every once and a while to mainly flat fields and if i do recreational off roading its low speed stuff (no raptor jumps).

I think the fox 2.0 are great....ive only heard of a few people that didnt like them but they ended up with Kings/Icons or something else twice the price.

Ive thought about upgrading to a 2.5 set up but cant justify the cost.

Eibachs are stiff as hell at full level. Dropped them down a bit and that helped. But overall the coilovers seem to be a poor design. Spring rate is to high and with them leveled out I had zero droop in the suspension. They need to make the shock body longer to correctly level the truck. Not take up all of the droop to level the truck.

I'm on HaloLift Alumas right now. I also had the olde F150Lifts Boss, same company, just changed names when they started doing stuff for other makes. I wasn't disappointed with either. Don't normally do much heavy offroading, and when I do, it's not the bone jarring, mud slinging stuff.
I will say, these Halos are great for me, no harshness, firmer, and a lot less body roll. I have Fox 2.0's on the rear.
I had an emergency not long after I installed these, and wound up running down a dirt/gravel road at 70 mph, for a few miles. Felt like I could have put a few more mph on there, it handled and rode great. Actually better than going down the same road at 35.
I've had the celebrated Bilsteins, Rancho QuickLift Loaded, and an assortment of different size spacers, along with the F150 Lifts mentioned. I'd do these again.
