Had mine done last week.

Front half of hood, fenders, A-Pillars, top front of cab, fog lights, headlights and headlight surrounds, $625. Guy did a great job, almost all edges were wrapped.

YMMV.
For those of us in FL....I would worry about this with the Love Bugs. Little acidic bastards.

I got the 3M put on mine. Wrapped around the edges, front of the hood, cut perfectly around the headlight areas, bumper, and when the truck's clean, you can barely tell it's there. All you see when it's dirty is the line on the hood from the edge of the film, where dirt collects. In the last year, I've had 4 windshield chips repaired and had a giant crack, replaced the windshield, and had one more chip repair on the new windshield, and I have a cracked foglight (Motrimoto LED's going in soon). You get pelted with lots of rocks around here. But the entire front of my truck is immaculate and there are no chips, tears, bubbles, nothing. It definitely costs more like $1200, maybe more, but it's so worth it.

I never gave this a 2nd thought until now with the King Ranch having painted bumpers.... All I ever heard about was how easy Ford painted bumpers chipped and started to rust. I was looking for advice on doing just the bumpers with something like a clear bra or even clear plasti-dip. However I think I'm going to look into a clear bra front end wrap. It's a lease, but last thing I need is to get zinged at turn-in for "damage" to the painted bumpers from some stupid chips that could be avoided from the start.....

I'm having the Suntek applied on Monday morning at a Line-X shop. They charge $550 for a Basic Protection Package that does the entire front and up the hood about 2 ft along with the front sections of the fenders, around the headlights, door edges and behind the door handles.
I've never done it on any other rig I've owned but because we will haul it behind the motorhome I figured it would be a good idea.

Okay sorry for the newbie to clear bra question, but...

I'm curious as to cleaning, do you have to extra precautions when washing the front end? (i.e. Scrubbing off grime, bugs, mud, etc).

Use special cleaner?

What does it protect against and is it pretty resilient/strong or is this something that will need to be replaced often?

Thanks
