On my last truck the clear plastic piece above steering wheel on the dash that covers the speedometer etc. (Not sure what it's called) Got scratched so easily while cleaning the dust off even with the softest cloth. I am trying to not scratch it this time. Any suggestions?

Dab with a wet cloth to remove dust/dirt that causes the scratching before wiping.

Blow the dust/debris off with a can of compressed air you can buy at Walmart. Then wipe with your microfiber cloth and cleaner.

No idea how well it works or anything as I've never tried it (actually never really thought about it until seeing this post), but might look into the 3M Automotive Grade Film. Says can use on instrument clusters and whatnot.

Soft cotton cloths ONLY. Micro fiber is great, just be sure to use 100% cotton.

Never use any paper products. No matter how soft they feel to your hands, they are still all made from wood.

You realize that microfiber is, by definition, a synthetic, right?

I agree with the posts above. Blow it off first, wipe with water and a damp microfiber cloth. Watch any stitching on the edge of the cloth, especially if you bought a bag of 100 microfiber cloths at Costco for $10. If you need additional cleaning, look for Plexus plastic polish (you can find it in motorcycle dealers or online). Don't ever use a glass cleaner, especially one w/ ammonia, on a plastic screen.

Microfiber and Plexus or Lemon Pledge.

I use the same cleaner that I use on my flat screens. It's from Monster, and a micro fiber.
