Window cleaning comes up on every Auto related site, many opinions as to what works & what doesn't...Reminds me of debates about Oil or Speaker Wire.

I currently have a 15 Mustang LE. The rear window is impossible to reach because of the rake...

As for the film on the inside of windows, it seems to coat mine more during air-conditioner use. It will coat mine (many other mustang owners report the same) to the point that after approx. 10 days, I need to clean the windows. Could this be a FORD thing?

I (along with others) have found a simple system that makes the chore much easier. I use two of the wands one for cleaning then the other for polishing. I spray the cleaner on the window, wipe up & down then back & forth. Then I use the dry wand, repeating the same strokes. Sounds like alot of work but it's not with the wand. The Invisible Glass Cleaner works as advertised, I never see any streaks with it.

I purchased mine at Wal-Mart, last time I walked thru that section I didn't see the exact one in my picture but other brands should work.

Interior formaldehydes odors are toxic when inhaled. Other contributors to the new car smell are very objectionable to some buyers, especially Chinese buyers. Lincolns, e.g. MKXs, exported to China have an absorbent device placed inside the vehicles during transit to insure the elimination of odors.

I think it might be a Ford thing. I can't believe how quickly a film develops on the inside window. Having driven only Toyota trucks previously, I rarely if ever found the need to clean the inside window.

Nonetheless, appreciate all the tips/advice in this thread.

I use Scott paper towels over the pad of a Invisible Glass cleaning apparatus and a little Windex sprayed on the inside of the windshield. Works great for me.

Newspaper and regular ol' Windex has always been my secret to crystal clear glass! After a thorough cleaning, I use Rain-X. I always use the Rain-X windshield washer fluid that is appropriate for the season and recently have been using the Rain-X wipers. They work really well and last longer than others I've used.

Shaving cream will act as a anti-fog for your windows

Curious about which shaving cream you guys are talking about. Edge or Barbasol? And what kind of aftershave?

Seriously though, what kind of shaving cream?

OT: In your signature, you list a Stubby Antenna. Do they work as good as the Ford Stock? What is the best of the best replacement for the Ford? I need to pull in stations from 50+ miles.

Just Invisible Glass and a micro-fiber cloth does the trick for me. I have a box of micro-fiber cloths that I use. The key to keeping them streak-free is when I wash them, I always use the double rinse feature on the washer and don't use fabric softener in either the washer or the dryer.
