I figured you have an app on your phone to read temps...but yes you admitted the real problem. You displayed the temp and got curious/concerned. I wish I could tell an accurate number of threads that have been started for 'overtemp' concerns right AFTER enabling the digital display. haha. You've graduated to the group of concerned folks that can 'see' the engine temp.

Rest assured, you are the same as the rest of us.
A number of 'overheating' threads are started as a result of seeing 220 degrees....we know where you're comin from here!

This is why Ford has "dummy" gauges. Back when I was coming up the gauges were in real time so I'm used to temperature gauges moving between 1/2 and Hot idling in hot weather. And oil pressure gauges sitting close to Low on a hot engine idling. All of this is normal but now it would scare folks into going to the dealership swearing something was wrong and demanding the perfectly fine truck be "fixed".
