Default Chipped Window Pillar

Nothing like breaking in your new truck by having a rock fly up and hit your driver's side window and window pillar while going 80 on the freeway..

Barely had this thing for two weeks before this crap. That said, has anyone had experience replacing this window pillar with the keypad? Hard to do? I've looked online and found the part but wanted to hear anyone's previous experience with something like this.

(Here's the part: http://www.tascaparts.com/ford/f-150...&position=left)

Thanks in advance.

Yup - hit the window first, chipped it, then slid down and chipped the window pillar as well. So irritated that this happened already.

There are a couple companies (PUTCO for one) that make nice covers for the pillars. I would go that route.

This is what I used to cover the scratches and swirl marks on the pillars. The carbon fiber wraps are available in others colors and patterns. They are pre-cut to fit the pillars and not very hard to put on.

I found these on CarID.com they are made by Putco. I think they were around $70.
