Default Check Engine Light O2 sensor

15 2.7
I have a check engine light that comes off and on every other day for the past week. Can't get appointment with dealership till end of month. Has anyone else had this problem? At first the check engine light came on for 2 days went off for a day then back on next morning then went back off that evening. Could this be a bad sensor or maybe something else? Possibly bad Gas? I filled my tank up with 93 octane, ran a half a tank then filled back up with 93. Hasn't come on sense the second fill up. Any Suggestions.?
I just flipped 20,000 and I noticed no difference in power or fuel economy.

Have you had the code read so there is an idea of the issue? Auto parts stores will usually read them for free and let you know what the general fault is. Get it read and post back here and someone should be able to chime in to help. Is there any issues present when it comes on or have you done any type of mods to the engine or running an aftermarket CAI that gets oiled for the filter? Good luck, find out the code and let us know.

Yes, I had it read at Advanced Auto Parts. It said O2 sensor bank 1. Sorry I didn't make that clear.
No Bolt on after market parts. Just have a Drop In K&N air filter.

Try a standard air filter you never know.

Thank You for your input. So, how would a air filter affect a O2 sensor?

Do you remember the exact DTC - P????

Here's why I ask - without the exact DTC I can't be sure if this applies in your case:

had a CEL summer before last, something about emissions. Happened when I was on vacation, called dealer and he told me not to worry about it until I got home. I didn't and everything was fine until they were able to repair whatever it was.

UPDATE:
Yes. This was it. Finally was able to get to the dealership this morning. They told me they had to replace the Cat because it was stopped up. I asked if it was a Recall part, sales manager said No. But i had remembered you sent me this and it was the same code. I only have 21,120 miles on my truck, don't know how the Cat could be clogged up already. Fortunately it will be replaced under the warranty. Of course they have to order the parts, will be bringing my truck sometime next week. They will have it for a few days. The check engine light has not been on for over a week. Not sure what that means either. Im just gonna let them replace it. And hopefully will have no other issues with it. Other than that I am overly pleased with my truck overall..

I was reasonably sure this was your issue.
