Anyone know if you can change trim level after getting VIN but still showing "order processing", such as say from 302A to 502A?

I'm not sure about trim, but I added the moonroof and extended range fuel tank to my platinum last week. Fairly large changes, and it essentially had no effect on my production date (scheduled Jan 19). Your dealer might have a little more insight depending on how close you are to your build date.

I'll ask them. I'm kinda waffling... The dual zone climate, 8" cluster screen, and auto 4wd are tempting me (501A)... But it's 3K extra over my current order config (302A)...

Went to my dealer this morning... no can do on changing trim level from say 302A to 501A... But I was able to switch from the Chrome pkg to the Sport Pkg (862), and also switch from 3.31 elec lock (XL3) to 3.55 elec lock (XL9) axle.

Hopefully it doesn't through my scheduled build date for a tail spin!!

I can't imagine that it would, when is your build date and have you seen any change in cotus since the updates went through? Seems strange that they can't make changes to a vehicle that they haven't even started building yet, even if they are dramatic. Maybe changing the trim has something to do with how it was assigned a specific VIN?

Perhaps - I'd guess that part of the VIN is referencing trim level... In any case, not a big deal. Saves me from spending more.

A VIN does not distinguish trim levels.
