Default Changing the Master Door Code

Okay, I guess I need a tutorial on how to search on this Forum because when I search Threads for "Change Door Code" tons of totally unrelated threads come up, but nothing about changing the master door code..
Any suggestions on best way to search a topic like this would be appreciated.
Anyway.. I just can't believe this, so I am trying to double check.. Is there REALLY no way to change your Master Door Code? If so, that is the stupidest thing ever with all the ways that someone that knows how could get your Master Door Code and get full access to inside your vehicle..
Is this really true? ANY way to change this would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Go to your touch screen
select settings
select vehicle (truck pic)
select door key pad code
enter 5 digit factory code
select add code
add new 5 digit code twice
your done.
As another poster pointed out you can't change the factory code but you can add multiple codes.

Both are right. You can add your own keyless entry keypad code, but the factory code can't be changed. It will still work after you add your own.

Is the concern that a previous owner knows where you live? Or because your ex wife knows the code......lol

Only so many codes, so I would say not every vehicle has a different code, but the chances of you finding another vehicle with the same code would be pretty slim.
But then many years ago, I showed up to play volleyball and horsing around put my ignition key into the door lock of another player and unlocked the door, would not work in the ignition though.

I actually talked to my service department today about this. Brought my 2015 Lariat in Sept and didnt get the code. Had it in for service ( chipmonks ate thru the soy based wiring under the hood) and one of the things on the list was getting the code for the doors, forgot to ask about when i picked it up. She said i'd have to personally come there for them to give me the code, couldnt do it over the phone. I'll be stopping in in a few days.
When i had my 2005 Lariat same thing, didnt have the code, people said it was on the computer modual but i never found it.

If you have two functioning keys, put one key in the emergency start location, without pressing the brake, press the START button, pause, then press the START button again. Now, put the second key in the emergency start location. Without pressing the brake, press the START button, and the default code will display on the dash.
