Default Changes to build after original order

Hey. Does anyone know how the build date is affected by changing an option after the original build submission? My dealer messed up on a few options and added them a few weeks later. Does the build go to the bottom of the lists? Does it get delayed? Thanks guys

In the first few weeks my order was changed because dealer had it as black and not leadfoot didn’t affect my build date at all. It was ordered late July and built late August of 2018. It was my understanding prior to receiving VIN changes don’t impact build date after that it isn’t possible.

I read a post on another forum a couple days ago from someone that broke down the entire order process in great detail. From what I gathered, orders can be modified up to 6 times up until a certain date in the process. These modifications will not delay the order in any way. But eventually it will lock and no more changes can be made.

Orders can be changed up until they are assigned a VIN. The only way a build date changes by modifying the order is if you add or subtract something that has a constraint to it. The dealers allocation has more consequences to the build date than anything else.
