A chance to remember and say thanks

Remember, memorial day honors those who died in service. We love our veterans, too, but their day of honor is separate. The confusion between the two days is a little frustrating. Let's let those who died in service get their day all to themselves, please.

There are three days of service:
Armed Forces day (those currently in uniform)
Veterans day (those that wore the uniform)
Memorial day (Those that never took off their uniform)
I'd say that none have been forgotten. Every year the crowds get larger at all the places services are held here. Tons of scout troops show up to help. The non-military cemeteries aren't as busy as family and friends pass on or become too old to go, but the military cemeteries and memorials are packed on Memorial day.
