After work the other night I got in my truck and my whole center stack was dead. No radio,no camera,no Bluetooth, no steering wheel controls and I only had defrost heat. Blend door wouldnt switch to floor heat.


Taking truck in next week for this and this POS Sync that never works right.


Oh, next morning everything worked again.


Anyone else have this happen? Its the basic Sync and radio setup with small screen. It wasn't even the coldest night we have seen this year either.

 

I understand low voltage can sometimes cause it to act up. Usually it will fix itself but sometimes the dealer has to erase codes and do a hard reset.

The one thing I have noticed is the more tech on the truck the more issues. It would be interesting to compare how many problems the average 100A and Platinum have. Does a 100A even have Sync?

 

Started truck this morning, stack dark, no nothing. Second time it has happened.

 

Dealer had my truck all day Tuesday. I got it back that evening and right away I noticed my Sync is in fact working as designed. Its staying paired to my phone and after restarts the audio system picks up where it left off without me having to do it manually. Its never done this until now.

I was told they did a reset and update. To what system they couldnt tell me. For now Im happy but if it happens again I will be taking a vid with my phone.

 

Hold the power button and next song button until the backlighting flashes. That will perform a reset. It fixed the problem when my loaner did the same thing.

 

I had it go dark once last May and again in June or July. But hasn't happened since. No problems with Sync either, though I only use it for the bluetooth streaming.
