Center console light stays on

I put my iphone 6 in the center console and started the video recording. I closed the lid and locked the truck with the key fob. I came back about 12 minutes later and ran the video back to find that the light went out at around the 7 minute mark. When I unlocked the door to get in the light came back on.

That was an awesome idea..I locked myself in the truck for about a minute and it didn't go out. Thanks for the info.

Yes I noticed also a little annoying at night when you have something plugged in. I close the lid but it would be nice if it went out some way.

I also use spotify and with Siri Handsfree can switch from spotify to the local iTunes playlists with ease.

Mine is doing the same thing. After a few days my battery will be dead and I have to charge it. Anybody else having this problem

It is called the Media Bin Lamp. It is switched and turns off when you close the lid. It is powered by the Battery Saver Relay which shuts the power off after a number of minutes if you leave the bin open.
