Did you ever figure this out? my arm rest bin light also stays on and it kills my battery if I leave it off more than a day.

New here, just wanted to share my solution since mine never shut off after 30 mins, perhaps because of the montion sensors were detecting me inside the truck. I added a sensor by removing the cup holder behind the console lid, you'll see the light connector there. Drilled a tiny hole and bypassed to the sensor I added in the picture. Just make sure whatever sensor you use is 5v compatible, most are around 9-12v only.

Can anyone tell me the part number for this? I am trying to add this light to my 2016 f150. I have the connector up under the storage tray above the radio and would like to add the light.
