Default Center Console Light

I currently have a 2016 Lariat that is coming to the end of the lease and am considering getting a ‘18. One minor gripe is the light in the front center console that stays on as long as the cover is open. It is super annoying to me and reflects off of the back window. Has this been changed in the 2018 or is it the same?

An on/off switch would be nice as the light is useful sometimes.

You're glove box doesn't have a light? You should have one. Might want to look into it.

I was fooling around with my trying to take out just the bulb and the whole plastic bulb cover with bulb got pushed back into the dash. After trying to fish it back through I gave up and said the heck with it. Good news is, I don't have a light anymore.

You could cover it with some light blue painters tape... or a piece of red tail light repair tape. That will tone it down some.

Hi, I notice you guys saying close the lid to get the light off but what if you close it and you can still see a light on through the back gap of the lid? I have a 2016 screw fx4 5.0l it's driving me nuts.

You are talking about the USB compartment correct? I have never seen my light through the closed cover.

Secondly and more importantly, the light in the 18 is at the back of the compartment facing foward so you don't see it. It's also ice blue matching the other lighting.
