Default Caution with Global Windows

Just a word of caution with global windows enabled. I have found both windows down in my driveway after locking the truck with the windows up. I finally realized that when that happened I had 3 sets of keys in my front pocket after having sat in my recliner. (I usually only have my truck keys, but also had my wife's keys and the keys to the barn.) Luckily the first time it was overnight and there was no rain, the second time was today when I went to use the truck. Just an FYI, Bill

I imagined a 2 different button press (like remote start) would be a better option for global windows down, just for that reason.

Doesn't the global window use two presses of the button? one to lock/unlock the door and the second press to open and close the windows?

Yes it does, the first press to unlock the door and a second that you hold for 8-10 seconds before the window goes down. The only thing I can figure is while sitting down the other keys hit the unlock button momentarily, let off, and hit it again and stayed pressing it. You don't hear anything when this happens. Like I said it only has happened twice in 5+ years and o ly when I had multiple sets of keys in my pocket while sitting down.

I tried the global windows on my Taurus SHO, the front windows went down as well as the sunroof opened. I closed them all and put the car in the garage. Next day, went out to get in the car and the windows were open, and the sunroof was open. I closed them all manually, and it hasn't happened again. I guess the global thing as a memory or something.

I did that last winter with my wife's car and had to shovel snow out of it the next day.
