CarPlay/Android Auto?
So I own a 2016 F150 Lariat. According to the Ford site, I should have Apple CarPlay. I don't have an Apple phones, so that really isn't relevant to me.
However, according to the Ford site, Android Auto also exists, and it's my understanding all Sync 3 models should, or will have received an update that enables these features. Mine has not.
My dealer has been ZERO help in the matter.
Does anyone know when or if this update has been made available to this point?
Thanks!

I have a 2016 F150 that came with Sync 3 version 2.0 already installed. If you have version 2.0 installed Android Auto should already work. To get Apple CarPlay to work you will need the updated USB ports. Please read the thread to get the part numbers but it's an easy switch and it enables carplay to work. You don't need to update Sync to get apple carplay to work if you have version 2.0 installed.
If you already have 2.0 installed, then you have Android Auto/Car play. 2.2 is just bug fixes, no new features. If you are trying for CarPlay, you need a new hub if you have a 2016.
I thought the 2016 came with right one I needed for Car Play (Wrong)
mine came with this one
