cargo lights
New F150 Owner. I installed the bed cargo lights in my 17 f150. I had the dealer change the computer settings as the directions stated. The lights work with interior switch but the bed switch wont work, any suggestions?
I dont think he did it. Before I changed the programming (did it myself) the lights came on with the main bed light when opening door or hitting the lock or the cab switch, but not with the bed switch. If I recall, after the program change, they now come on ONLY with the bed switch.
I am having the exact same problem on my 2017 STX F-150 with my bed switch today after installing and programming my OEM light kit. Before programming, lights don't come on at all from inside switch or bed switch. After programing 726-57-01 to 0300-0001-0089 lights will work only from inside switch. Is there by chance another programming slot that needs changed to activate the rear switch? Manual states the lights can be operated from both switches. Any insight from any of you with ForScan experience would be very appreciated!
I had to have my LED bed light kit programmed by the dealership - works with dash switch and bed switch and no longer go on when the door is opened - they did go on when the door opened or when the headlights were on - once programmed they work as intended.
Thanks GAZRNR for the confirmation that the switch in bed should work. I'm really hoping to talk with someone who did the programing like I did to help isolate what I might have done wrong to prevent the bed switch from working. I've checked the obvious things like the connection where the switch goes into the harness and the light/switch subharness connection into the main harness. Prior to programing the lights didn't come on at all in any condition I could find. Meaning they didn't come on from the cab switch, nor with doors open or driving /headlights on. I could not get them on at all which seems different than what others have experienced. After making the one change on the BCM module at slot 726-57-01, the lights come on and off with the switch in the cab, if left on automatically go off once the truck exceeds 3mph, as the manual says it should under factory installed conditions, I just can't get them on or off with the switch in the bed. The switch feels like a single throw momentary, which is consistent with the cab switch but I can't tell if it's a faulty switch or something wrong with the programing.
